FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What happens during the discovery call
A: Your free 10-minute discovery call is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to see how I can best support you. I’ll ask a few key questions about your current symptoms, challenges, and goals, so we can decide together if one-to-one menopause lifestyle coaching is right for you.
Q: Do I need to be local to benefit from coaching?
A: Not at all. Coaching sessions can be held in person at The Wellness Room in St. Lawrence, Essex, or virtually via Zoom, so you can get the same support no matter where you live. If you’re not local and cannot visit The Wellness Room for treatments, I can also recommend a trusted complementary therapist in your area.
Q: What areas can we work on together?
A: Every woman’s menopause journey is unique. We can focus on areas such as improving sleep, managing anxiety, balancing mood, supporting energy levels, reducing hot flushes, creating nourishing meal plans, and helping you feel more confident and in control of your body again.
Q: Can I combine coaching with complementary therapies?
A: Yes. If you’re local, you can add relaxing and restorative therapies such as aromatherapy, reflexology, lymph drainage massage, or reiki to your session. These treatments can help ease physical tension, improve circulation, and create a deep sense of calm. If you book a plan of appointments, you’ll also receive a reduction in complementary therapy prices.
Q: Will I get something to work on between sessions?
A: Absolutely. After each session, you’ll receive a personalised follow-up email within 24–48 hours, summarising what we discussed along with realistic, achievable strategies for you to put into action before your next session.
Q: Do you give medical advice?
A: I’m a registered nurse, but my menopause lifestyle coaching is not a substitute for medical advice. I can support you with lifestyle strategies and holistic approaches, but I always recommend consulting your GP or specialist for any medical concerns or medication changes.
Q: Is it too late to make changes after menopause?
A: It’s never too late. Your body is always capable of adapting, and even small lifestyle changes can have a big impact on how you feel, your energy levels, and your overall wellbeing.
Q: What if I feel nervous about starting?
A: That’s completely normal. Many women feel this way at first, especially when they’re not sure what to expect. My role is to make you feel supported, listened to, and never judged. We’ll move at your pace and work on what matters most to you.
Q: Do I need to prepare anything before my first session?
A: No preparation is strictly necessary, but it can be helpful to bring:
- A list of any medications you are currently taking
- Any known family medical conditions (if you can find out)
- A note of symptoms you’re experiencing and goals you’d like to focus on
- This information will help us make the most of our time together.
